The Dehydration of Sucrose

Sulfuric acid is poured on a mixture of sucrose and sodium carbonate. The resultant reaction produces a large amount of black foam as well as steam and smoke.

• Sucrose, Granular - 75 g x 1 Bottle
• Sulfuric Acid, Concentrate UN1830 - 25 ml x 1 Bottle
