Taste Discrimination

Target Grade: 5-9

This kit was designed by the Department of Biochemistry and Nutrition at Temple University School of Dentistry. The purpose of this kit is to allow the student an opportunity to determine his sensitivity and discriminating ability to the four known taste sensations. Having an awareness of taste sensitivity levels will provide the student with physiological and genetic information about his body and an opportunity to change some eating habits, if desired.
