Study of the Properties of Buffer Solutions

In this experiment, you will prepare three buffer solutions having different pH values. These solutions will then be exposed to small amounts of acids or bases and you will then demonstrate that pH should not vary significantly when the buffers are exposed to the acids and bases. By way of comparison, you will also expose water to the same acids and bases and determine the effect they have on the pH of the water.
