Spark Tape Timer Hardwood 110v and Constant Vehicle Car
(# 632-5) Ticker Tape Spark Timer
Easy to use. Connect the timer to any wall outlet, 110v, put the paper thru the two guides, place the carbon discs and start measuring. Useful for measuring acceleration of a falling weight, calculating the speed of moving cart or studying the forces associated with friction. The timer records every 1/60th of a second by printing a dot on the ticker tape. Measurement is done by comparing the spacing between dots. The faster the strip moves, the larger the distance between dots making it is easy for the student to calculate the rate of speed of acceleration.
Strong hardwood construction, 7 inch (177mm) x 2 inch (50mm) x 1.25 inch (32mm). Body has holes to mount on a support stand rod. Hole 0.41 inch (10mm) dia. All electronic components are well shielded.
5ft (1.5m) long cable, with in line on-off switch. Supplied with one roll of tape, 100ft, and 12 carbon discs. Operates on 110v ac.
(# 633-75) Constant Velocity Car
Have fun and learn with the Sand Dune Buggy.
Many kinematic experiments require objects to move at a constant velocity. However, keeping an object from speeding up or slowing down can be very difficult and can lead to errors in data. The Constant Velocity Car can effectively hold a uniform speed which is ideal for kinematic experiments. The Constant Velocity Car can be set to travel at two different speeds by changing the batteries in the motor. The car can use either 2 C batteries, 2 AA batteries or 1 C battery in combination with a jumper. Students will be enthusiastic to learn about the concepts of motion and can easily quantify data while using this neat car. Batteries not included. Jumper included.
Car Dimensions (without windshield & antenna): 6.75 inch (175mm) L x 3.75 inch (90mm) W x 2.75 inch (70mm) H
Detailed Instruction manual included.
Measurements are approximate. Color of car can vary, depending upon stock.
