Monkey and Hunter Set, Physics

The Monkey and the Hunter apparatus is used to demonstrate the effect of gravity on projectile motion. Students can actually see and learn the path of the bullet and the fall of the monkey and if the bullet will hit or not hit the monkey.

In essence the problem to be solved is: A hunter goes into a jungle for hunting and sees a monkey on the tree. Where and how should the hunter shoot to get the monkey. In this apparatus the ball launcher with adjustable angle and laser sight, is the gun of the hunter and the electromagnet is the tree and the monkey is a disc.

Aligning the laser sight with the monkey before the release of the ball (bullet) will make the ball hit the monkey. The disc (monkey) which is hanging from the tree (electromagnet), is released as soon as the launcher is fired.

Supplied complete with 4 inch C-Clamp, 8x5 inch Ring Stand and 2 AA batteries.
