Acids and Bases I

Target Grade: 7-12

This interesting and practical kit introduces your students to acids and bases. The students perform lab activities which give them an understanding of the use of indicators in identifying acids, bases, and neutral substances included in the kit. Students have the opportunity to bring to school and test additional household items with these indicators. They also examine the pH of these substances and learn how pH can be used to determine the strength of acids and bases. All lab activities are written in an easy-to-understand form, with step-by-step instructions, data charts, questions, and space for student answers and conclusions. The Acid and Bases I and II kit also include and activity/worksheet, a review sheet, a multiple choice test, and a complete teacher’s answer key.
