Inclined Plane Basic

Study Newton's Second Law of Motion and the mechanical effects of friction with the Inclined Plane Set. The angle of incline can be varied anywhere from 0 to 45 degrees. Two wooden blocks, a Hall's Carriage and a metal block are included to demonstrate varying amounts of friction. A weight pan and slotted weight hook are also included to hold weight and provide a force on objects. Many interesting and creative experiments can be performed with this inclined plane set. The manual includes assembly instructions, theory on Newton's second law and friction, complete labs with answer key, and a STEM section explaining how Newton's second law is used in engineering. This set is a great introduction into the mechanics of inclined planes.

Consists of a wooden incline plane 24.625 inch (600mm) L x 4 inch (100mm) W x 0.75 inch (20mm) T fitted with a plastic pulley 1 3/16 inch (30mm) in dia., hinged to a base 17.75 inch (450mm) L x 4(100mm) W x 0.75 inch (20mm) T, which carries a 15.625 inch (365mm) high arc. Comes complete with 3 friction boards with hooks, one - wooden 3.75 inch (95mm) x 3 inch (75mm) x 7/16 inch (12mm), one~wooden 7.875 inch (195mm) x 3 inch (75mm) x 7/16 inch (12mm), and one~metal 4(100mm) x 3 3/16 inch (80mm) x 3/16 inch (5mm), and one metal scale pan 4 inch (100mm) dia.
